Bio

Eric R. Deitz is a partner in Gordon & Rees' Southern California offices and a member of the Professional Liability, Employment and Commercial Litigation practice groups. Mr. Deitz has tried multiple cases to verdict, including a statewide class action in California Superior Court. He also lectures on legal ethics, e­discovery, and document retention practices and policy. Since 2015, Mr. Deitz has served on the Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct (“COPRAC”), a standing committee of the California State Bar. COPRAC addresses matters involving legal ethics, and helps educate and provide guidance to attorneys, judges, and the public about the ethical duties of an attorney. Mr. Deitz is a member of the invitation-only Legal Ethics Committee of the San Diego County Bar Association (“LEC”). In 2017, he served as the LEC chair, and currently serves on the committee’s executive board. Since 2013, Mr. Deitz has been recognized by the Southern California edition of Super Lawyers® in the area of Professional Liability Defense.
