Edmund L. Olszewski is a partner in the Pittsburgh and West Virginia offices of Gordon & Rees and a member of the Environmental/Toxic Tort and Health Care practice groups. He concentrates his practice in the areas of medical malpractice, legal malpractice, product liability law, and toxic tort law, with a particular emphasis in civil litigation. He has successfully tried dozens of cases in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Texas, and Ohio in defense of claims ranging from the alleged manufacture of contaminated ostrich feed to alleged medical malpractice resulting in catastrophic birth injuries. Mr. Olszewski has obtained defense verdicts in asbestos cases tried in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Texas, including the defense of a major domestic corporation in a West Virginia Mass Trial involving over 8,000 plaintiffs and a multi-plaintiff Pennsylvania trial on behalf of a manufacturer of asbestos containing hot top products used in the steel industry. Currently his practice is equally divided between the trial courts of Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
