Christine Kroupa is a litigator in the Denver office. Ms. Kroupa represents insurers in a variety of insurance matters particularly focusing on first party bad faith litigation. She has significant experience handling high exposure, complex litigation, which gives her the ability to quickly assess exposure and damages. Her experience is expansive as she handles commercial property claims, appraisals, uninsured/underinsured motorist claims, homeowners’ insurance claims, and coverage opinions. She is also experienced in the defense of professional liability claims, which includes securing a defense verdict in a legal malpractice jury trial and succeeding on the client’s counterclaim for unpaid attorneys’ fees. She has also successfully defended against grievances before the Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel. Ms. Kroupa’s construction litigation practice includes representing builders, developers and design professionals in construction defect actions and other types of construction disputes. Ms. Kroupa’s practice also includes defending clients against various claims including business disputes, products liability, premises liability, employment discrimination, personal injury, and wrongful death. Ms. Kroupa has represented political subdivisions, government entities, and state employees in various matters ranging from alleged constitutional civil rights violations to negligence. Ms. Kroupa works closely with clients to develop an effective case strategy and aggressively defends such claims. Her experience includes all stages of civil litigation in both state and federal court, including initial and responsive pleadings, motion practice, responding to subpoenas, drafting and responding to discovery, taking depositions, working with experts, trial, and appeals.
