As a partner at Gordon & Rees, Brian Maschler handles a variety of complex, commercial litigation matters, including securities class actions, RICO, antitrust, intellectual property, contracts and business torts, as well as employment, ADA and white collar criminal defense. Mr. Maschler specializes in class action defense. He has substantial experience defending complex securities, RICO, antitrust and regulatory compliance matters in civil litigation and governmental investigations. Mr. Maschler has represented Fortune 500 businesses, directors and officers, independent auditors, and public institutions. Mr. Machlser's securities litigation defense experience includes the successful defense of companies and individuals in cases alleging violations of Sections 10(b) and 20A of the U.S. Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Sections 11 and 12 of the U.S. Securities Act of 1933. Mr. Maschler has significant trial, arbitration and mediation experience in both the state and federal courts. He also has extensive appellate experience. He has presented arguments before the Ninth, Eighth, Second and District of Columbia Circuits. He also has substantial experience representing financial institutions, accounting firms, manufacturers and other businesses in complex commercial litigation, including creditors' rights, workouts, FDCPA matters, fraudulent conveyances and adversary proceedings in bankruptcy.
