Bio

Riccardo Sciaudone is a partner of the Firm and head of the competition law practice. He represents clients in proceedings (mergers, anti-competitive agreements, abuse of dominance, State aid and abuse of economic dependence) before the European Commission and the Italian Competition Authority, as well as in litigation, both before Italian and European Union courts. He represents clients before the European Court of Human Rights. Riccardo also advises clients on regulatory matters, including national and European public procurement and data protection. Riccardo graduated from the “Federico II” Law Faculty of Naples in 1995 and in 1999 obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Law and Economics of the European Communities from the Politics Faculty of Naples. He worked at the European Commission in the State Aid Directorate and then in EuropeAid dealing with international procurement. Enrolled as a lawyer since 2003, he has been a partner in leading Italian law firms in Brussels and Italy. Riccardo writes for prestigious international and national law journals and is co-founder of the European Law Observatory. He speaks fluent Italian, English and French.
