Valerio Fontanesi is a partner at Giovannelli e Associati. Valerio has more than two decades of experience in a broad spectrum of banking and finance matters focusing on leveraged finance, acquisition finance, real estate finance and direct lending. Valerio advises investment banks, private equity funds and corporate entities in complex HY and bank financing transactions in the context of high profile leveraged buyout and refinancing. Valerio also advices banks, investment funds and primarily international sponsors in highly sophisticated real estate financings and investments. Valerio also has a significative experience in advising debt funds and alternative lenders, including private bonds and unitranche, both in the corporate finance and real estate sector. Before joining Giovannelli e Associati, Valerio has worked in leading Italian and international law firms in Rome, Milan and London. Valerio graduated in law at LUISS – Guido Carli university in Rome and earned a master in law (LLM) at University of Michigan. Valerio is admitted to the Italian bar and New York bar.
