Bio

James Petrucci is a Director in the Corporate Group of Gibbons in New York. His practice encompasses many aspects of corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, and securities law. His extensive experience in private equity includes mergers and acquisitions; fund investments; structuring of funds and fund transactions; negotiation, documentation, and closing of fund acquisitions and investments; and advice in such areas as corporate law, due diligence, investment management, real estate, employment, ERISA, and tax issues. He also advises leading state pension plans and institutional investors with respect to their investments in private equity funds, real estate funds, hedge funds, and other alternative investments. In addition, Mr. Petrucci’s practice includes the structuring and negotiation of joint ventures and their subsequent sales, as well as many aspects of commercial and real estate finance, including mortgage financing, single and multiple tier mezzanine financing, and multiple tier intercreditor relationships. Prior to joining Gibbons, Mr. Petrucci was the in-house counsel for Global Realty Outsourcing, Inc. and a corporate attorney at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP in the New York office.
