Mikael Borg Bio

Mikael has been a partner at Gernandt & Danielsson since 2009 and co-head of the firm's corporate/capital markets practice group. He has over 20 years of experience in business law and has practiced in a number of different areas and industries, including private and public M&A, debt and equity capital markets, and financing and restructuring. His expertise in these areas is regularly confirmed by clients, industry peers, and in independent national and international rankings. Mikael regularly represents both sellers and buyers in corporate transactions, in both private and public environments, and is often involved in large and complex IPOs. He has extensive experience in assisting with capital raisings in the form of equity, bond, and hybrid issues and is one of the most frequently engaged advisors in the Nordic region in these areas. Mikael was also a pioneer in establishing the legal framework for corporate bonds in the Swedish market. Mikael has extensive experience in assisting private equity players and companies in the financial sector. Mikael also regularly takes on assignments as chairman of the board and board member in both private and listed companies.
