Oscar Arrus Bio

Oscar is a notable practitioner with broad experience in both financial and corporate transactions, having participated in some of the most important operations in the Peruvian market. Oscar Arrús is a partner in the Lima office. His areas of expertise are financial transactions, project financing, corporate transactions, securities market law as well as hydrocarbons legislation. Before joining Garrigues he formed part of Rubio Leguía Normand and before that, worked as an associate in Baker & Hostetler’s Washington D.C. office. He has extensive experience in all kinds of financing (including project finance, corporate finance, financing for business acquisitions, etc.), mergers and acquisitions, securities markets, and corporate transactions in general. He also has extensive experience in the gas and hydrocarbons industry, having participated in several transactions in this sector. His professional career has been noted by the most prestigious international specialist publications, including Chambers & Partners, IFLR and Who is Who, among others. They have all singled him out as a leading practitioner in Peru in various areas of expertise and he is at the top of the rankings in all those publications. Oscar forms part of the Lima Bar Association and is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA).
