Partner in the Corporate/Commercial Law Department since 2009. He specializes in corporate/commercial and financial law. He advises on all manner of structured financing and restructuring processes, and particularly on project finance in the area of renewable energies and infrastructure. He is also an expert on commercial contracts in general and, more specifically, on advising on the drafting and negotiation of turnkey construction agreements, supply agreements, operation and maintenance agreements, etc. across all types of projects. He also counsels energy services companies on all types of energy efficiency projects in both the public and private sectors. He has been singled out by various directories, such as Chambers&Partners, Best Lawyer and Who’s Who Legal, among others, as one of the leading practitioners in the project finance industry. Marcos Botella has been a member of the Madrid Bar Association since 1998. Before joining Garrigues, he worked in the audit department at Price Waterhouse.
