Luis Felipe Merino Risopatrón Bio

Luis Felipe Merino is the partner in charge of the office of Garrigues in Santiago, Chile. He specialises in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions, advising on local and cross-border transactions in all types of industries, with a particular focus on transactions involving companies in the energy and gas market. He also has extensive experience advising energy companies on the development of generation projects, both from conventional and renewable energy sources. He holds a degree in Law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an LL.M. (Masters of Laws) from Duke University School of Law. He obtained his law degree in 1994. He has been recognized by Chambers & Partners, both in Corporate / M&A and Energy since 2011 and has also been highlighted in other rankings such as Legal 500, IFLR and others.
