and access,
Leticia Comin Fernandez-Cuesta is a partner in Garrigues Corporate/M&A Department since February 2021. She specializes in M&A (of both private and listed companies), equity capital markets and corporate governance of listed companies. She has an extensive experience, amassed both at top-tier international law firms (she pursued most of her career at Linklaters, including a secondment at its London office) and in the public sector. In particular, from 2016 to 2020 she served as Chief of Staff to the Chairman of the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), Sebastián Albella, and was a member of its Steering Committee. In that role she provided legal advice on takeover bids, mergers, IPOs, rights issues and, in general, on all kinds of corporate transactions involving listed companies and securities market deals, as well as in the areas of corporate governance, transparency and market abuse. Also, during such time, she formed part of ESMA's Takeover Bid Network representing the CNMV and was involved in the CNMV's internal teams that prepared the first ever Q&A on takeover bids (2018) and the review of the Good Governance Code in 2020, among others.
