Lawyer, with law degree from Universidad del Rosario (Bogotá, 1991), master of laws (L.L.M) from Harvard University and additional studies at London School of Economics (LSE) and Instituto Ortega y Gasset. He held the post of Supervisor of Industry and Trade from 2010 to 2012 and, as such, headed up this Colombian public entity which serves as the Colombian antitrust authority and the national industrial property office , while also acting as the national personal data and consumer protection authority. In 2015, he joined Garrigues as a partner and is currently the director of the firm’s Public Law and Competition Law Department in Bogotá. He has been a university professor and is currently an arbitrator on the main list maintained by the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (the main Colombian arbitration center). For the past several years, he has had the honor of serving as an associate judge on the Constitutional Court.
