James Senften is a skilled partner in the firm’s Real Estate and Commercial Lending practices, the practice group leader for the firm’s Real Estate group, and a member of the firm’s Management Committee. He focuses his law practice primarily in Arizona and is well-versed in the various legal issues and challenges facing real estate developers in the state. In his real estate practice, James regularly represents private developers, landowners, homebuilders, and healthcare institutions in all types of commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition, development, leasing, operation, and financing of master-planned single-family residential communities, multifamily residential complexes, healthcare facilities, active adult projects, office buildings, retail centers, industrial facilities, and mixed-use projects. He also frequently represents clients in connection with real estate joint ventures and Arizona State Land Auctions. James practices in the Commercial Lending group, representing both developers seeking loans for real estate projects and financial institutions making such loans. He also represents financial institutions in the resort and timeshare industries. James’ approach to client service is driven by a commitment to understanding both the nuances of Arizona law and his clients’ business objectives, then implementing legal solutions that help achieve those objectives efficiently. Outside of his practice, James enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons and relaxing in Flagstaff when he can.
