Bio

Brian is a litigator who focuses on matters involving educational, religious, and other nonprofit organizations. He has obtained judgments in favor of primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities, and health care and religious entities in an array of discrimination, tort, and contract cases. In addition to litigation, Brian advises entities on compliance, contractual, organizational, and risk management issues, and conducts investigations of misconduct and fraud. Brian served a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Richard D. Bennett of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. He received the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland’s 2013 Exceptional Service Award, and in 2016 was recognized by The Daily Record as a Leadership in Law award winner. Prior to entering the practice of law, Brian was a Senior Research Program Coordinator at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine's Lupus Center.
