German Villamil Pardo has more than 35 years of professional experience and currently spearheads the areas of foreign exchange law and international investments of the Corporate Practice Area. In the Energy & Natural Resources practice, he provides advice to upstream companies, oil field service companies, pipeline transporters and trading companies. German has actively participated in mergers & acquisitions and financing transactions involving companies in this industry. He has also counseled upstream companies in the execution of E&P Contracts, Association Contracts, JOAs, Farmouts, among others. He also has extensive experience in downstream matters regarding the structuring and negotiation of Offtake Agreements, Take or Pay and Take and Pay Contracts, among others. In foreign exchange law and international investments he advises companies from different industry sectors on regulatory issues pertaining to foreign exchange, structuring of international investments and foreign currency–denominated debt and counsel and representation in administrative exchange procedures.
