Sophie Jouniaux is a partner in the Tax Law department. She specializes in International and French corporate tax matters, with a particular emphasis on M&A, reorganizations and international tax planning. She also assists executives and employees in the context of management packages and employee incentives. Finally, she assists her clients on tax audits and tax litigation. She has also developed a specific expertise in the Lifesciences & Healthcare sector, advising companies of the pharmaceutical and medical devices industry. Sophie has published several articles on international and French tax law and has participated in tax seminars as speaker. She has also taught French and International corporate tax law at the French business school “Hautes Etudes Commerciales / HEC” Paris and the University of Montpellier I. Prior to joining FTPA in 2020, Sophie has headed the tax department of the law firm Osborne Clarke from 2016 to 2020. Before 2016, Sophie was a partner in the tax law department of Baker & Mc Kenzie where she has worked for 14 years. She started her career in 1999 in the law firm Arthur Andersen as an associate. Sophie was admitted to the Bar in 2001. She holds a postgraduate degree (DESS Droit des Affaires et Fiscalité, DJCE) from the University of Strasbourg. Sophie Jouniaux has been rated among the “Best Lawyers” 2021 in the “Tax Law” category. She is a member of the French Institute of Tax Solicitors (“IACF”), of the IFA (International Fiscal Association) and of the A3F association (French association of women tax specialists).
