Rajeev Sharma Fokeer Bio

A Barrister at the Bar of England (2002) and of Mauritius, his native country (2008), and a Barrister at the Paris Bar (2005), Rajeev Sharma Fokeer mainly handles international cases of all types, varying in complexity. A partner since 2010, he has handled cross-border corporate restructuring cases (including the European safeguard of Eurotunnel and the global sale of the Nortel group's assets), mediation and private and state litigation, as well as international commercial arbitration. He has thus acquired extensive expertise in international institutional arbitration (ICC, LCIA, etc.) and regularly acts as counsel in industrial and commercial disputes. He is also in charge of the international arbitration and litigation division of our London Desk. He has also developed in-depth expertise in World Bank investigation and sanctions procedures. Rajeev Sharma Fokeer holds a DESS (Postgraduate Diploma) in Litigation and Arbitration from the University of Paris II (2001) and a Double Master's Degree (French and English Law) from King's College, University of London and the University of Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne (2000). In addition to English and French, Rajeev is fluent in Hindi and Mauritian Creole. Rajeev is a member of the French Arbitration Association and the Advisory Committee of the Arbitration and Mediation Centre of the Mauritius International Chamber of Commerce (MARC).
