Bernard Cazin Bio

Bernard Cazin has been a lawyer at the Paris Bar since 1997. He joined the firm's public law team as a partner in September 2020, which is recognized by Legal 500 (public and administrative law), Décideurs (administrative contracts and related litigation, public property, land management, urban planning and development, promotion and construction), Le Point (public law, real estate law), and Best Lawyers. He worked as a public law associate in a law firm at the Council and the Court of Cassation from 1997 to 1999, where he acquired decisive experience in administrative litigation, and in particular the rules of admissibility of applications, the scope of the administrative judge's control and the combination of different contentious remedies (action for annulment and action for compensation, interim relief, expert appraisal, etc.). Bernard Cazin founded a highly specialized firm in urban planning law in 2001 and developed a clientele in local government law, electoral law, inter-municipal law and civil service law, then co-founded the CMAA firm in 2019, which joined the FTPA firm in September 2020. Since 2015, he has been responsible for missions with the Ministry of Planning and Construction, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Bernard Cazin is the author of numerous articles and chapters devoted to administrative litigation published by Dalloz (Administrative Litigation Directory and Administrative Litigation Practice) and has provided training in urban planning and development law since 2002. He was also Head of the Urban Planning Law Subcommittee of the Paris Bar. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Nantes and holds a Master's degree in public law (class of 1993) and a DEA in public law (class of 1994).
