Alex is an experienced intellectual property attorney with a focus on patents and trademarks. He supports U.S. and foreign-based clients in protecting critical IP and developing strategies to maximize and leverage the value of IP assets. With over a decade of experience in patent searches, patent application preparation, patent prosecution, trademark assessments, and validity and infringement analyses. Alex helps manage portfolios for early-stage companies, venture-backed entities, and established businesses. Alex has a degree in chemistry but works extensively in the mechanical and electrical fields in addition to the chemical arts. In addition to his patent and trademark practice, Alex assists in all transactional and commercial agreements involving intellectual property including master services agreements, manufacturing agreements, licensing agreements, and technology transfer agreements. Alex brings a knowledgeable and innovative approach to the growth of his client’s IP portfolio. Regardless of whether the client is a first-time inventor or an established company, Alex utilizes his skill and understanding of the ever-changing field of intellectual property to reach and exceed his client’s goals. Alex is a member of the Ohio Bar Association and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
