Mark Lucas regularly acts for leading private equity firms and public and private companies on corporate and mergers and acquisitions transactions. Mark has extensive transactional experience across a broad range of sectors from industrials to technology, energy, and infrastructure, major media, healthcare, consumer, and financial services transactions. Mark was previously vice president and associate general counsel of the Merchant Banking Division of Goldman Sachs. He focused on private equity transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and capital raising activities, as well as other principal investments made by Goldman Sachs. Mark offers clients invaluable perspective, having of having worked on both the client and outside counsel sides of matters, and across the full life cycle of private equity investing. This skillset, including a profound understanding of the inner workings of sophisticated institutions and the complex regulatory environment in which they operate, allows him to provide tailored client service to address the unique needs of each individual client and scenario. The Legal 500 has recognized Mark in Private Equity Buyouts. Mark has co-authored articles published in various publications including Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation and Transaction Advisors. He is also a multiple USA Triathlon all-American and has represented Australia at ITU World AG Triathlon Championships.
