Gordon is Managing Partner of the Chicago office, a member of the firm's Executive Committee and focuses his practice on financial restructuring and bankruptcy law. He handles a broad range of bankruptcy and insolvency matters as well as complex litigation. Gordon is one of the leaders of the firm’s nationwide unsecured creditor committee practice. He has served as lead counsel in more than a dozen committee engagements in bankruptcy courts throughout the country. Gordon is a strong voice for unsecured creditors and brings a practical approach with creative solutions to preserve value and maximize recoveries. Gordon also has extensive experience representing corporate debtors and bankruptcy trustees, which complements his committee practice. Gordon was a member of Shaw Fishman Glantz & Towbin LLC, which merged with Fox Rothschild in 2018. He previously clerked for Judge Eugene R. Wedoff of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Northern District of Illinois. Gordon serves on the Steering Committee for the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association, and is Co-Chair of its Executive Speaker Forum Committee. For several years, he has participated in the Vanderbilt Law School alumni interview program. He is also a member of the Munster, Indiana Little League Board of Directors and a director of the Munster High School Booster Club.
