Carmen Dematteis represents growth-oriented companies across all phases of the corporate life cycle, from corporate formation and day-to-day representation, to advising them in connection with seed and growth financings, to exit in M&A transactions. She also guides venture capital funds on investments in their portfolio companies. For over a decade, Carmen has handled corporate transactions (including, but not limited to, venture and growth capital financings and M&A transactions) in an in-house and law firm setting, and she brings that experience to the advice she provides. Carmen’s clients also benefit from her unique perspective of working in-house as Chief Counsel, Corporate and M&A, at medical device company Cantel Medical Corp (which was acquired by Steris). She has led and managed numerous domestic and international M&A transactions and understands the pressures on in-house teams. Carmen was born in Germany and is fluent in German. She has a great interest in transactions with a German nexus.
