Recognized in 2019 as one of the top 100 women lawyers in New York City by Crain’s New York Business, Rebecca’s practice encompasses a broad range of litigation, such as securities, shareholder derivative, general commercial, contract disputes, copyright and trademark disputes, employment disputes, insurance coverage, and auditor and accountant liability. Rebecca represents clients in all stages of litigation, and has served as trial counsel in cases and arbitrations around the country. Rebecca advises and represents Fortune 100 companies, such as large financial institutions, major airlines, pharmaceutical companies, technology companies, private equity funds and hedge funds, as well as startups and emerging companies. Rebecca’s practice includes unique experience in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. She represents and advises blockchain and cryptocurrency clients in matters relating to U.S. regulation, intellectual property, trade secrets and contracts, as well as offering and trading practices. In this space, Rebecca’s clients include, among others, a multi-billion-dollar private equity firm, a digital asset exchange, crypto‑traders, and blockchain and cryptocurrency investors. Rebecca handles lawsuits and arbitrations relating to blockchain and cryptocurrency, but also regularly guides clients to successfully resolve disputes prior to any litigation. She is a frequent speaker on legal and regulatory matters relating to blockchain and cryptocurrency. In addition to her litigation practice, Rebecca advises companies on all matters relating to their business, including contract negotiations, protection of intellectual property, and employment law. Rebecca has advised or acted as outside general counsel to entrepreneurs and emerging companies in a wide variety of sectors, including health and wellness, education, finance and blockchain. Prior to joining FisherBroyles, Rebecca spent more than eight years at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where she represented and advised clients in a wide range of general litigation matters—from pre-litigation dispute resolution through trial. Rebecca clerked for Judge Katherine B. Forrest (fmr.) in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, as well as Chief Judge Jose Linares in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Rebecca earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics.
