Many years of experience inform Jason’s practical and solutions-driven approach to helping clients. Jason uses his business acumen, strong engineering background and expertise in intellectual property law to add real value to client’s intellectual property portfolios and businesses. Serving a broad range of clients, from multinational corporations to start-ups to universities, Jason develops and manages world-wide intellectual property portfolios and focuses his practice on IP counseling, patent and trademark prosecution (both foreign and domestic), due diligence and portfolio analysis, patent opinions and IP related agreements and licensing. Additionally, Jason has extensive experience with IP enforcement matters, including patent litigation and post-grant review proceedings before the USPTO. Several of the post-grant review proceedings involved inter partes reviews that were related to concurrent litigation. Jason’s experience in post-grant proceedings is invaluable in developing offensive and defensive strategies in patent litigation. Jason’s practice has a strong emphasis in the mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical arts and he handles IP issues in a broad range of technologies, including: oil and gas systems and tools; manufacturing equipment and systems; power generation systems and devices; consumer products; automotive devices and systems; computer software, hardware and peripherals; gaming devices and peripheral; robotic systems; materials technologies; and medical devices. Jason manages a team of experienced patent attorneys, patent agents, trademark attorneys, patent and trademark paralegals and IP professionals. Jason’s team has worked together closely for years to efficiently and cost effectively provide clients with the highest level of IP services. Previously, Jason worked at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He lived and worked in New York City and in Europe, where he advised some of the largest technology-based companies in the world.

Education
