Bio

Chris is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and focuses his practice on procuring valuable intellectual property assets for his clients through the preparation and prosecution of patents in the U.S. and internationally. He has worked with innovative clients, including a number of Fortune 500 companies, on a variety of technologies, with an emphasis on patents in the chemical, mechanical, and electrical arts. Before joining FisherBroyles, Chris worked for nationally recognized law firms in Washington, D.C and Salt Lake City, UT. He has prepared and successfully prosecuted hundreds of domestic and foreign patent applications during his career. Chris has also counseled clients in various other aspects of intellectual property law, including patent licensing, opinion work, copyrights, trademarks, and patent reexamination proceedings. His experience encompasses a wide range of technologies, including semiconductor devices, display technologies, polycrystalline diamond products, medical devices, software, polymers, sintered materials, and chemical compounds and compositions. Prior to his career as an attorney, Chris spent several years working as a registered patent agent at an intellectual property law firm located in Washington, D.C. while attending law school at night. Before that, he was employed at Kimberly-Clark where he worked on developing FDA regulated medical devices and diagnostic pharmaceutical products.
