Marie Evrard Bio

I am a partner in the corporate team in Fieldfisher's Brussels office. I am a lawyer at the Brussels Bar and have been practising company law, general commercial law and financial law for over 30 years. I have developed particular experience in mergers and acquisitions and in the field of corporate structuring, private equity, joint ventures, corporate finance and all activities related to corporate law. My experience includes due diligence, drafting contractual documents (including financial documents and security interests) and negotiations. In addition, I have given various lectures and written articles on the above topics. My education in the United States (second rhetoric), a Master of Laws (LL.M) at Duke and my experience in the tax department of a law firm in Washington DC also gave me a good approach to the Anglo-Saxon culture and legal system. I am a founding member of the ASBL Women on Board as well as a member of Guberna (Belgian association of directors), Le Mérode and the Duke Alumni Club.
