Stephen Kerr corporate practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions in regulated industries such as the financial services, the healthcare and the life sciences industries. Large companies turn to Stephen for clarity on policy and regulatory issues related to banking, insurance, reinsurance, life sciences and mergers and acquisitions generally. A significant portion of Stephen’s practice involves providing counsel to large and mid-sized businesses on acquisitions and divestment strategies, corporate governance, complex corporate reorganizations and material commercial agreements. Advising on the incorporation and registration of regulated financial institutions, Stephen also works on various portfolio transfers among regulated financial institutions. Another significant aspect of Stephen's practice relates to advising high net worth families on the corporate and commercial aspects related to complex reorganizations and succession planning.
