Reid Crombie has experience in structuring and negotiating complex business transactions, including share and asset acquisitions and divestitures, equity finance, recapitalizations, and restructurings. Reid’s practice also focuses on the formation of private equity and venture capital funds and advises on their investments and cross-border transactions. and has represented clients in a broad range of industries, including, in particular, consumer products and branded businesses, food and beverage, software and technology, mining and energy, medical marijuana companies and related products, medical equipment, and industrial services and manufacturing. Reid regularly advises companies on formation, governance, structure and financing matters and is a member of our emerging technology practice, advising emerging companies at all stages of their business. Reid is a graduate of the combined JD/MBA program at the University of Western Ontario, Faculty of Law and Richard Ivey School of Business. While there, Reid developed a skillset to provide practical solutions to clients across all stages of business. Before attending law school, Reid also earned his Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Western, where he stood on the Dean’s Honour list and was awarded the Academic Award of Distinction. Throughout his time in undergraduate and post-graduate studies at Western, Reid captained the school’s Varsity Lacrosse team and was named Most Valuable Player, and was awarded the Frank Mete Award for Outstanding Character and Attitude. He also enjoys travelling and playing various sports including, hockey, golf and tennis. After summering with the firm, Reid had a client work assignment with SouthGobi Resources Ltd. in Hong Kong.
