Jean Michel Lapierre Bio

Jean Michel Lapierre is a business lawyer recognized for his leading practice in mergers & acquisitions, capital markets and securities law. Jean Michel has been involved in several major acquisition, sale, merger or going-private transactions of publicly-traded companies, including friendly and hostile take-over bids and complex statutory arrangements. He has also been involved in a large number of private M&A transactions. He has acted on behalf of issuers, securities dealers and institutional investors in various securities offerings, including initial public offerings, other prospectus offerings and private placements. His practice includes advising publicly-traded companies concerning corporate and securities matters, including compliance with disclosure obligations, proxy solicitation for shareholder meetings, the launch of share buyback programs and the implementation of securities-based compensation arrangements, and assisting them in their interactions with stock exchanges and securities regulators.
