Bio

Jean-Francois Noel is a partner in the Business Law Group in our Montreal office. He works in the technology, media and telecommunications industries, as well as in life sciences and health. He has developed particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions, start-up companies, venture capital and business services. After earning his LL.B. from the Université de Sherbrooke, Jean-François was admitted to the bar in 2006 and began his career in a major law firm. He has also worked as a corporate lawyer, gaining experience notably through his participation in equity and debt financing rounds totalling more than $100 million. Jean-François advises many companies – start-ups and well-established alike – in their various stages of growth, from inception to sale. He has a clear understanding of business and corporate world reality, which makes him a valuable resource person both within our firm and with contractors. Prior to joining Fasken, Jean-François practiced in a major law firm in Québec.
