Director
and access,
Brent Johnson practice focuses on providing employment and litigation counsel to individuals, private companies, and public entities. For nearly four decades, he has represented clients in all aspects of employment-related matters, including proceedings before administrative employment boards and in state and federal lawsuits. Employers frequently turn to Brent to represent them before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Colorado Civil Rights Division, and other state agencies. He has a depth of experience representing clients in employment litigation, including wrongful termination, trade secret, and discrimination suits. Brent has also represented clients in general commercial litigation and appeals, contract law, and other commercial disputes. A photography enthusiast outside of the office, Brent keeps his eye on his clients’ goals throughout each representation. In his non-litigation employment practice, Brent advises clients regarding problem employees, conducting investigations, and preparing or reviewing contracts such as non-compete and separation agreements. Regardless of whether he is handling a litigation matter or offering general employment advice, Brent aims to provide efficient and effective counsel because he recognizes the impact these issues can have on a client’s day-to-day operations. In addition to Brent’s extensive litigation experience, he regularly helps clients with alternatives to litigation including arbitration and mediation. He has handled arbitration proceedings before the National Association of Securities Dealers and the American Arbitration Association and has participated in numerous mediations.
