Zeid Hanania Bio

Zeid focuses on private equity, M&A and joint ventures across a wide variety of sectors, including financial services, energy, utilities, consumer goods, retail, education, healthcare, telecoms and media. Zeid is a member of our global M&A leadership team (consisting of key senior corporate partners from each of the regions where we operate), which sets the strategy for our M&A practice globally. Zeid has extensive experience representing multinational corporations, private equity firms and other financial investors in connection with international (both in-bound and out-bound) and local (within the UAE and other jurisdictions the MENA region) investment and divestment transactions (including MBOs, joint ventures, secondary buy-outs, divestitures, co-investments, consortium arrangements and trade sales). He has acted on a number of cross-border deals across the MENA region, Africa, Turkey, Southeast Asia and the US. Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Zeid was Counsel with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Dubai. Before moving to Dubai, he spent several years practising as a corporate finance lawyer in New York.
