Joaquin De Fuentes Bardaji is Co-Managing Partner of the Firm and Head of Public Law Department. He joined the Firm as a Partner in May 2012. Previously, he worked as a lawyer (from 1976-1979) and as State Lawyer in Ministries, Courts of Madrid, Court of Auditors, the Supreme Court, the Constitutional Court and the European Court of Human Rights (1984 to 1989; from 1993 to 1994). He has been a senior state civil servant as Technical Secretary General of Justice (from 1990 to 1993), State Lawyer General and State Councillor (from 2004 to 2012). In the corporate field he has been Secretary to the Board and Chief Counsel of RENFE (from 1994 to 1998) and Secretary General and Director of Regulation at the Telefónica Group (from 1998 to 2003). He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of SAREB. His practice focuses on the area of conflicts with the Public Administrations and in the area of all regulated sectors (energy, telecommunications, railways, audiovisual, markets, intellectual property, etc.)
