Steven Blackburn has practiced labor and employment law, representing employers exclusively, since 1984. An experienced trial lawyer, he has defended employers in numerous jury trials, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings with a proven track record of success. Steve’s experience includes litigating whistleblower claims, unfair competition and employee mobility disputes, harassment claims, and wage and hour class actions. Throughout his career, he has also represented employers in traditional labor law matters, including NLRB proceedings, collective bargaining, and labor arbitrations. Steve draws on the practical insight gained from nearly 40 years of experience in litigating labor and employment law issues when providing day-to-day advice and counseling to employers regarding their compliance with California and federal employment laws. Steve has been a member of Epstein Becker Green since 2000 and serves as the Managing Shareholder of the firm’s San Francisco office. Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate and partner with several prestigious labor and employment law firms. He is admitted to the bar in California, Tennessee, and Louisiana. Steve has been active in community service throughout his career. He has served on the boards of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, the Fort Mason Foundation, the Family Service Agency of San Francisco, and the Advisory Council of the San Francisco Salvation Army.
