Bio

Lynn Haug is a Partner in Ellison Schneider Harris & Donlan. Lynn has practiced energy law in California since 1989, specializing in providing advice and representation on legal, regulatory, and policy issues arising before the California Public Utilities Commission, California Energy Commission, and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. She also has extensive experience in transactional work, and has negotiated power purchase and sale, energy services, interconnection, distribution and transmission agreements, leases, and other business arrangements on behalf of energy producers, energy service companies, public agencies, nonprofit trade associations, and transportation companies. Lynn’s substantive areas of emphasis include interconnection and transmission issues arising under the Federal Power Act, energy contract issues, regulatory issues affecting renewable generators and distributed generation, new technologies, electric utility functions of publicly owned utilities, and transportation. Her clients have included public entities such as the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) and municipal utilities; non-profit entities, including the Western Electricity Coordinating Council; renewable energy producers, including developers and manufacturers of combined heat and power facilities, fuel cells, solar and wind generators; and large customers, including Stanford University. She advises clients involved in emerging markets and technologies, including energy efficiency, smart grid, electric vehicle charging, and transportation network service providers.
