Partner of M&A and Private Equity at ECIJA. He joined ECIJA in 2005 after working for two of the major UK law firms. He specializes in M&A and private equity and has wide expertise in cross border transactions in the technology, innovative related, and industrial sectors. Amongst his clients, there are both international and Spanish corporations, as well as venture capital and private equity houses. Emilio has been recognized by Chambers & Partners for several years in a row amongst the best lawyers in his field of practice. Likewise, Legal 500 also praised him as one of the most relevant lawyers in the M&A sector. Similar recognitions have been granted by Best Lawyer, identifying Emilio among the best M&A and TMT (Technology, Media and Telecom) lawyers in the Spanish market for seven years in a row. Emilio earned an LL.B. from the University of Cantabria (Spain) and an LL.M. in European Union Law from the University Carlos III of Madrid (Spain). He was also student at the University of Turku and at Abo Akademi (Finland). He is lecturer at the Instituto de Empresa (IE) in Madrid and regular speaker at conferences and seminars related to his practice areas.
