Michelle Bergman Bio

Michelle Bergman has over 30 years of legal and business experience. She has served in multiple C-Suite roles, including General Counsel, at companies such as Duane Reade Inc. (the New York-based drug store chain), Barneys (the upscale department store chain), and MediMedia Health (a multidisciplinary health services company). She began her career at Latham & Watkins and, from there, moved in-house to several investment banks and private equity firms. In 2011, Ms. Bergman founded Bergman Law, a corporate law boutique law firm. Ms. Bergman and Ms. Mandell joined forces in 2019 to create an expanded and rebranded distributed law firm model, focusing solely on corporate law, and in 2021 launched DBM.
