Danos Athanasi Bio

Danos is a Corporate Finance Lawyer with a career spanning over 20 years specialising in mergers and acquisitions, MBOs, disposals, Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs), corporate structuring, bank and private funding (including venture capital and private equity) and security work, off-shore and international transactional work and joint ventures across a broad range of industries. Danos prides himself on developing strong personal relationships and working closely with entrepreneurs and owner managers with the aim of understanding their specific motivations and needs. This allows him to become their trusted advisor and, in doing so, provide bespoke legal advice, project manage transactions and negotiate accordingly. During his career, he has acted for clients in a variety of industries ranging in size from start-ups to £300m+ turnover businesses. As a result, he has developed particular expertise in a number of sectors including: aviation logistics, builders’ merchants and suppliers, food, recruitment, market research and analysis, conferences and events, consultancy and procurement, facilities management, manufacturing, travel, retail, energy, IT and insurance, off-shore unit trust and SPVs. Danos is involved in offering strategic advice and is regularly called on to project manage cross-border and international transactions across multiple jurisdictions. Danos works primarily in our Gatwick office but also collaborates closely with colleagues in our other locations including Brighton.
