Sidney Burke co-chairs the firm’s New York corporate group and has a varied corporate and securities practice focused on mergers, acquisitions, and other complex business transactions, including SPAC IPOs and business combinations. He advises investment funds with varied strategies (including private equity, growth equity and venture capital) in structuring, negotiating and executing portfolio company investments and financings, and counsels funds in their formation and internal governance. He also has represented public companies on an ongoing basis, and he regularly counsels senior management, corporate boards, investment banks and controlling stockholders with respect to mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures, corporate governance, fairness opinions, disclosure and securities regulations. Sid also serves as the chair of the firm's pro bono committee for the New York office and is a member of DLA Piper's North American Pro Bono Committee. He previously served as hiring partner for DLA Piper's New York office.
