James Eaves is a member of Dentons’ Intellectual Property practice. He assists clients with U.S. and international patent and trademark applications, patent and trademark infringement and litigation, and licensing and unfair competition. Jim’s clients range from individuals with a novel idea to large companies seeking protection for their new innovations. No matter the size of the client, Jim’s goal is always to protect the client’s technology from infringement and work toward making the product successful. He performs research and advises clients on how best to protect their existing patents and how to avoid infringing upon other’s patents. Jim also has experience litigating on behalf of clients who have discovered IP infringement as well as defending clients who have been sued for infringement. He helps companies license their intellectual property assets or enter into agreements to license IP assets from others.
