Jared Ross practices real estate and land use law, primarily focusing on commercial real estate acquisition, development, permitting and leasing. He has significant experience acting as outside general counsel to developers and investors in the acquisition and disposition of various real estate classes, including multifamily, hotels, office, industrial and flex space. This representation includes negotiation of acquisition/disposition agreements, due diligence and the formation of joint ventures and real estate investment funds. In addition, Jared leads the work done by the firm on transactional construction contracts, negotiating and drafting construction-related contracts for projects ranging from small rehabilitation projects to significant developments in excess of $100 million. This representation includes assisting with the implementation of RFP processes and drafting complicated bespoke agreements between joint ventures and contractor affiliates. Jared also has significant experience representing lenders and borrowers in connection with mortgaged backed and mezzanine loans often with complicated construction-related features. Jared also routinely represents a broad spectrum of lenders, land owners, developers and equity participants in the area of renewable energy development and generation throughout the country. His experience involves representation of clients with negotiation and analysis of agreements, due diligence review, drafting and negotiating agreements, and strategic planning. In addition to private practice, Jared has worked in the general counsel's office of the Boston Redevelopment Authority and for the Urban Ecology Institute, both while attending law school.
