David Waizer, who is chair of Day Pitney's Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practice group, represents venture capital funds and emerging growth companies in formation, debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters, with specific experience in the cybersecurity, telecommunications, retail, cloud and analytics industries. He routinely handles matters related to corporate law and governance, executive management, board relations and negotiations. David has negotiated more than $1B in commercial and licensing transactions and led numerous mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions. He also has experience representing public companies and handling securities matters. Prior to joining Day Pitney, David served as General Counsel for a venture capital firm and as General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Corporate Development for a $100M+ revenue, venture-backed online retailer. In these roles, he was responsible for all legal matters, as well as human resources and assessing and implementing business development opportunities.
