Vincent G. Kalafat is a Partner in the Billings office and a Co-Practice Group Leader of the firm’s Taxation, Trusts and Estates Practice Group. Vincent joined the firm in 2013 and primarily advises clients in taxation, estate and succession planning, estate and trust administration, closely held business entities and joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs and other dispositions, and real estate transactions. As part of his practice, Vincent works closely with clients to navigate the complexities of tax law to achieve their objectives. With his experience in both tax and business law and his accounting background, he offers clients a unique advantage, seamlessly integrating tax and legal considerations to provide practical solutions tailored to their specific needs. His ability to navigate complex tax and business issues to assist clients in accomplishing their objectives is distinctive to his practice. Before joining the firm, Vincent served as a law clerk to the Honorable Diarmuid F. O’Scannlain of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He then worked as a tax associate with Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in New York City. Outside of his practice, Vincent loves spending time skiing, fishing, rafting, and hiking with his kids.
