Brian Holland Bio

Brian Holland is a Partner in the Butte office and an Energy and Environmental Practice Group member. He previously served as leader of the group for many years. He is also a member of the Oil and Gas Practice Group. Brian’s work focuses primarily on significant energy, natural resources or mineral-related projects and transactions, such as mining projects, renewable energy projects, power plants, pipeline projects, and oil and gas transactions. He provides support on related environmental issues and litigation, including CERCLA/Superfund and RCRA issues. His work involves various aspects, including due diligence, permitting, transaction agreements, and condemnation. Brian assists clients in completing complex projects addressing complex issues. In addition, much of his recent practice includes significant environmental litigation and Superfund proceedings arising out of an historical mining district. Brian’s approach to his work revolves around his clients’ needs and goals, striving to assist them in achieving their desired outcomes, often culminating in successful closings. With a focus always on his client’s best interests, he navigates complex transactions with a blend of enthusiasm and determination, finding enjoyment in solving the challenges they present. Brian is a Butte native and joined Crowley Fleck in 2004 after serving as Senior Counsel with the Montana Power Company Legal Department, where he worked on various energy and natural resource related projects and transactions. Outside of practice, Brian finds joy in spending quality time with his family and friends. He also harbors a lifelong passion for sports, which continues to be a source of enjoyment and recreation in his leisure time.
