Blaine Johnson Bio

Blaine Johnson is a Partner in the Bismarck office and a member of the Commercial Transactions Practice Group. Blaine describes his practice as “transactional in nature,” and notes that he gets to work across a wide variety of practice groups. He represents clients in real estate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, purchase and sale agreements, leasing, zoning issues, and permitting. He also assists business clients in business formation and financing issues, and has a substantial estate planning and probate practice. For more than two decades, Blaine has guaranteed that he is easily accessible to his clients, ensuring that they know he will always be available to answer their calls. Whether putting a deal together or picking up the pieces when one falls apart, Blaine diligently represents his clients in forming strategic and creative solutions to real estate and financing problems. In his current practice, Blaine is working on some of the largest deals in the state of North Dakota, allowing him to achieve satisfying results for multi-billion dollar clients. Blaine is a North Dakota native and received his B.A. from the University of North Dakota before earning his J.D. from the University of Minnesota. Blaine plays the piano and the trumpet and has performed all over the world. He currently serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Bismarck-Mandan Orchestral Association. Blaine is also an active member of the Bismarck Rotary Club, assisting with the vision and strategic planning of the organization, and previously served as District Governor of Rotary International District 5580. Blaine regularly shares his expertise in title issues, real estate law, probate issues, and more through a variety of publications. He has been named to Great Plains Rising Stars for Energy & Resources multiple times in the last decade. Outside of his practice, Blaine enjoys spending time with his wife, Jessie, and their children and enjoys traveling.
