Mr. Correa regularly advises investment funds, financial institutions, and multinational companies in diverse industries, including real estate, infrastructure, and energy. His experience includes advising FIBRAs, FIBRA-E, private equity funds, ETFs, and other collective investment vehicles, as well as issuers and intermediaries on domestic and global offerings. He also supports clients on tax policy, corporate restructuring, returns, inquiries, authorizations, and tax compliance in ESG environments. In 2019, he was recognized as the “Best Tax Rising Star in Latin America” by Euromoney Legal Group , becoming the first Mexican lawyer to receive this distinction. Since 2017, the International Tax Review has named him one of Mexico's “Indirect Tax Leaders.” He has also received recognition such as the “Generación Anáhuac” medal (2015) from the Universidad Anáhuac Mayab and his inclusion in CNN Expansión's “30 Promises in Their 30s” ranking (2014). Mr. Correa is listed among the leading tax lawyers by publications such as Chambers and Partners , The Legal 500 , ITR World Tax , and Best Lawyers . He is the author of several publications on tax topics, including books published by Thomson Reuters on the Mexico-Canada and Mexico-UK double taxation treaties, as well as on real estate FIBRAs. He is a member of the International Bar Association , the International Fiscal Association and the Business Advisory Group on FATCA & CRS of the OECD. He holds a law degree from Anáhuac Mayab University and two master's degrees from the Universidad Panamericana: one in Tax Law and the other in Government and Public Policy. He also completed the AD-R senior management program at IPADE Business School. Before joining the private sector, he worked for a decade at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, where he held key positions as Central Administrator and Competent Authority for tax treaties. Between 2013 and 2014, he served as an OECD Consultant, serving as the lead drafter of the Common Reporting Standard (CRS).
