Mercedes Haddad A. Is A Partner In The Mexico City Office. Her Practice Focuses On Banking And Finance And Capital Markets. Mercedes represents foreign and domestic financial institutions, borrowers, underwriters, issuers and private equity funds in capital market transactions, structured finance (including secured and unsecured financing, commercial financing, acquisition financing and real estate financing) asset securitizations and derivative transactions. Over the past years Mercedes has participated on various innovative financial transactions. In capital markets Mercedes has advised sponsors in the establishment of their CKDs funds through public listings of CKDs in Mexico, including Mexico Retail Properties (MRP), Walton Street Capital, Finsa, and Planigrupo. She has also participated in several IPOs and follow-ons, including Terrafina and IEnova. Mercedes has also worked on several cross-border debt offerings and private placements In banking and finance, Ms. Haddad advises international and Mexican financial institutions including Deutsche Bank, Barclays, Credit Suisse, BBVA-Bancomer and Banorte, as well as Mexican borrowers. Ms. Haddad has been ranked or cited in banking and finance by many publications, including Chambers and Partners and IFLR 1000. Ms. Haddad was born in Mexico City and obtained her law degree (JD) from the Escuela Libre de Derecho in 2005. Her native language is Spanish and she is fluent in English.
