Bio

Edward Baxter is a former chair of the firm's Business Law Department, and a former member of the firm's board of directors. He concentrates his practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, general corporate matters, and corporate taxation. Edward has extensive experience in the general representation of businesses, both public and privately owned, including the corporate and tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, public offerings of debt and equity securities, corporate formations, restructurings, and liquidations and financing techniques, including asset-backed securitizations and syndications. Edward is presently an adjunct professor of law at the Temple University Beasley School of Law and teaches courses on mergers and acquisitions. He has served as a member of the board of overseers of Widener University School of Law. Additionally, he is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Philadelphia bar associations. Edward received his undergraduate degree, with honors, from Widener University in 1968, and earned his law degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1971, where he was an editor of the law review.
