Carole has over ten years of experience helping companies effectively manage their legal and regulatory matters so that they can focus on and achieve their business objectives. With the capacity to practice in both French and English (and to a limited degree in Mandarin), she works primarily in the technology, natural resources, agri-business, and energy sectors. As environmental counsel, Carole has advised clients on contamination and remediation of real property, sales of assets and businesses, insurance matters, and brownfield redevelopment. She has extensive experience with regulatory approval and assessment processes, having participated in complex development projects as well as multi-jurisdictional reviews of regulation and policy. Her correlative work in Aboriginal law includes significant consideration of the Duty to Consult with First Nations and the development of reconciliation-driven solutions. Carole’s technology practice has centered on helping clients protect and leverage their IP assets and on ensuring compliance related to cybersecurity, online marketing, and e-commerce. She has also advised on access to information and privacy matters. Carole sits on the City of Moncton’s Planning Advisory Committee as first vice-chair and as a vice-chair of the Board of Directors for Legs for Literacy. Carole is an active member of the Canadian Bar Association’s National Environmental, Energy and Resources Law Section (NEERLS) and is the chair of the Canadian Bar Association – New Brunswick branch’s Environmental Law Section.
